Teen Counselling in Coquitlam and Medicine Hat

A safe, judgement-free space for teens to be heard, and practical support for the parents who love them. In person or online.

When your teen shuts you out

The teen years bring big changes: pressure at school, shifting friendships, identity, social media and growing independence. It is normal for teens to pull away a little. But if your teen seems stuck, anxious, low or not like themselves, it can help to have someone outside the family to talk to.

Our counsellors work with teens in a way that feels respectful and real. We build trust first, then work together on the things that matter to them, using approaches such as CBT, DBT and ACT. With your teen's consent, we keep parents involved so progress continues at home.

Privacy

What about privacy?

Teens open up when they trust that what they share is private. We explain confidentiality and its limits to both teens and parents at the start. Parents are kept informed about attendance and general progress, and we encourage teens to share what they are comfortable with. If there is ever a safety concern, we involve parents.
