COST:

ASD UNDER 6 (including Cognitive Component/Coordinating with SLP/Physician) $3995. ASD Over 6 (No Cognitive) $3290.

ASD (ADULTS) $3995 with report. $2820 without report (letter provided).

PSYCH-ED (Children/Adults) $3290

Adding Psych-Ed to Autism Assessment (children over 6/Adults): $4700 including report.

All assessments above include screening for ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Etc (if appropriate).

ADHD ONLY (Children/Adults): $1880 with report; $1175 without report (letter provided).

Cancellation Policy

Once your assessment is booked, we require at least 5 business days’ notice for cancellations. Appointments are reserved exclusively for you, and late cancellations result in a significant loss of clinic time. Failure to provide sufficient notice will incur a cancellation fee of $235.

AUTISM ASSESSMENT

Carolina Hall conducts Autism Assessments for children and adults who have suspected autism or autism spectrum disorder. She has worked with Children and Adults on the Autism Spectrum since 2004-initially as a Behavioural Therapist, then as a Consultant, and eventually as a Psychologist. Through her experience, she understands the signs and symptoms related to such a diagnosis. She received her training on the Gold Standard for diagnosis using the Autism Diagnostic Observation Scale (ADOS-2) and the Autism Diagnostic Interview (ADI-R). Along with these assessments, she consults with Physicians, Speech Language Pathologists and other professionals to provide a well-rounded view of the child/adult. A comprehensive Autism assessment usually takes 17 hours ($3995) for children under 6 (including cognitive component and collaboration with SLP/Physician). For children over 6 who only require do not require the cognitive component or additional collaboration, are charged 14 hours at the hourly rate of the $235 ($3290).

What To Expect

  • Virtual or in-person Intake Appointment (Sets the stage)

  • One on One appointments with your child/adult (ADOS2) and Cognitive/Achievement Assessments of required (children) (all booked over three days-6 hours)

  • Structured interview with parents/informant (ADIR-2 hours)

  • Behind the scenes (report writing, interviews with teachers/professionals, analysis of information, meetings, follow-up, & recommendations).

  • Debrief with Parents/Adult with Completed BCAAN Clinical Outcome form (In BC), a Diagnostic Assessment Report (including Autism, Cognitive and Adaptive Functioning Results) along with all information gathered. Additional Meetings with school or home team, letters, tax forms or anything above the assessment above would be billed at our regular rate.

Including a Psycho-Educational Assessment on top of an ASD assessment for children over 6/Adults will be billed at 20 hours ($4700).

PSYCHO-EDUCATIONAL ASSESSMENT/GIFTED

Psycho-educational assessments can be requested for many different reasons. Some of the main reasons could include Executive functioning difficulties, Learning, Intelligence, Query about Giftedness, Language skills, Behavioural problems etc. This assessment can provide more insight into what is going on for you or your child. A comprehensive assessment usually takes 14 hours ($3290). Comprehensive Psycho-educational assessments may include a battery of assessments to determine learning and cognitive profiles, underlying issues impacting learning, social/emotional/ behavioural functioning and the possibility of additional diagnosis (ex. ADHD,Depression, Anxiety etc.).

Gifted assessments usually take 8-10 hours.

What To Expect

  • Intake with parents/adults

  • One on One assessment (Cognitive and Achievement Testing, Clinical Interview or Clinical Assessment). All booked over 2-3 days (dependent on assessment tools used- discussed at intake).

  • Behind the scenes (report writing, interviews with teachers/professionals, analysis of information, meetings & follow-up, & Recommendations).

  • Debrief with parents/adult with Assessment Report and Recommendations

ADULT/CHILD ADHD ASSESSMENT

Social/Behavioural Assessments can be requested for children and/or adults. Reasons for inquiry could include difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, forgetting simple things, difficulty getting started/organized, difficulty with emotions, overthinking, and difficulty with staying on task. In this process we also look at underlying reasons for behaviours and recommendations that would assist with every day functioning. A comprehensive assessment would usually take 8hrs ($1880). An assessment not requiring a report will be billed at 5 hours (letter provided with confirmation of diagnosis and general recommendations-$1175).

  • One on One assessment time booked

  • Behind the scenes (report writing, interviews with teachers/professionals/Informants, analysis of information, meetings & follow-up).

  • Debrief with parents/client with Assessment Report and Recommendations

Any additional Assessment Tools recommended will be discussed. Additional Hours and Time Required will also be discussed as needed dependent on the complexity of the child/adult.
